I know everyone seems to be looking forward to the beloved season of fall. But me, I’ll miss summer. I could use about one extra month before I grow bored of it. It’s my favorite season as I’ve said before but I do enjoy fall…. just not as much. I have so many family photos from this summer but there’s just not enough time to post them.

We’ve recently returned from our second trip to Michigan this summer. On the way back from Grand Rapids, we hit South Haven on Lake Michigan again. This time just for a few hours at Van Buren State Park…. where the beach is rocky and full of fabulous treasures (not to mention great dunes). Who needs the ocean when there’s Lake Michigan… no salt, no sharks, no jelly fish and waves that are sure to knock over my kiddos!

It was obvious that my camera favored the boys while we were there. That’s because Madison is always about 20 feet out in the lake. She’s a fish! The boys prefer to stay near shore to find treasures and jump the waves. Below is a shot taken of the ladies of the house at the beginning of summer in New Buffalo, MI.
