yet very cool. a very proud and lucky daughter gave a session to her parents in honor of her mother’s birthday. she commissioned me to photograph her parents at this milestone in their life. i of course went in wondering how it would go since i am used to the toddler crowd. i am so glad that i did. it was such a moving session and they were so delightful. it made we look forward to the love and laughter that can be shared in the later years of marriage and life. the joy they had together and for one another was incredible. i almost teared up while i watched/photographed the mother playing her piano. she was so very comfortable (or at least appeared to be) in front of the camera. she played her piano by memory and sang all the while looking at her husband (while he sang right back at her). i was in awe. i wish i could have seen her play years ago to her two young daughters while they danced in around her. oh, and when i asked the father to kiss his bride he did so without any reservations and i must admit even more comfortably than most engaged couples do. i guess you look forward to those things in life and stop taking simple things like hugs and kisses for granted.
