I’ve been photographing this growing family for the past four years. It’s been so fun watching them start from a family of five to a family of eight! I think it’s safe to say we’ve bonded. I know each child’s unique traits so it makes my job SO much easier!
They live in Ft. Wayne and travel to Hamilton County every year just for photos! Mom was worried that this time six kids would just be too much for all of us. I was up for the challenge though and so was she! Surprisingly, we found this to be the smoothest, happiest session of all. We can blame most of it on incredible weather (maybe the most beautiful day of the summer), space to run, excitement and of course creek hoppin’! I got a text from mom on the way home from her session. Her son Carter said this was the “best day of his life”! That made me so happy!
My favorite things about this session:
The kids were dressed the way they wanted to dress. Maybe this look isn’t for everyone (if you’re the matchy matchy type) but it truly represents who they are and what they want to remember 10 years from now. The hands-on yet calm approach from mom and dad…. evident in the last shots that they were still sane enough to do together shots last. How Lila’s little fingers grip her father finger. In general, I just LOVE looking at their happy expressions…. because I now exactly how genuine and honest they are.
